School is out for summer...

School is officially out for summer and the days are full of promise...

The weather alternates between clear blue skies full of hot sun to dramatic thunder storms that roll in and out regularly. I can't tell you how much I love it. But before school ended I spent some quality time with my youngest. He will start school full time in September and the afternoons spent together just the two of us will come to an end...Waaaah!I'm not going to lie, I already feel wobbly about it...
The end of his nursery brought so many opportunities to see how much he has grown. From winning races at sports day (even if he did desperately hold the egg on the spoon the whole way on one race) to shouting 'look there's my mummy!' on the stage in the summer concert while pointing at me.I feel like I could burst with pride.
And also with the overwhelming urge to slow time down with my bare hands.I don't want to go back, I just more of right now...

What is helping my mummy wobble though is excitement about the coming summer. I'm looking forward to camping, campfires, walks in the woods, road trips, Switzerland, afternoon movies, afternoon naps for that matter, bike rides, bbqs...I could go on...You know my usual...
I can't wait, can't wait, can't wait...
Yep summer has won me over already...

  5. Gorgeous photos! I feel you with watching them grow. My second just finished preschool and even though she has two younger brothers, it isn't any easier watching those sweet baby years slip by. I loved "you don't want to go back, just more of now", yes- that exactly. I feel the same. :)
