Nature is clever like that..

A couple of weeks ago we planted our vegetable seeds which is always a favourite activity...
So favourite in fact that a certain little boy insisted on helping despite having a fever. Poor baby so poorly...
But a mere mention of seeds brings a momentary bout of excitement...

What's nice this year is that Lucas really gets what we are doing and wants to join in. Rather than in previous years where he preferred to dig up and stand on rather than plant anything...

Whenever we sow seeds I can't imagine anything will actually grow. You keep looking and looking each day and there is seemingly no change. Then all of a sudden you notice something tiny poking out through the dirt. Whoever spots them first yells to everyone else 'Quick come look at the tiny something that wasn't there before!' And we are always surprised. We sowed them, we watered, we fed them and yet we are still surprised. Nature is clever like that. So right now I need to yell something at you...
'Quick come look at the tiny something that wasn't there before!'
It's growing!!

In fact much to my delight everything in the garden is growing...

  6. Gardening is full of excitement!
So wonderful to have children getting interested in it too.
The most exciting thing I have right now is my Kentucky Wonder Pole Beans. I planted them April 15, and they are up and making little runners reaching for the bamboo pole trellis! Hurrah!
    Have a wonderful day!
