Being in the moment

It's amazing what you notice when you stop and focus...
So much there waiting to be seen...
So much to drink in...
Little moments that get to happen because you are there completely...
Taking the time to play like you did as a kid...
To watch them try something...
Because all this will go so fast...

Do what is important, screw the rest, it can wait...

  2. I think everyone needs to take a leaf outta your book Sian... And chill a little more. I know I'm guilty of halfhearted attention sometimes to my son and then I wonder where the time went. It's so important to live in the moment and appreciate the time we have with each other. Quality rather than quantity too... I'm putting my camera down more and just trying to walk with my son Nathan appreciating life rather than saying "just hang on Nathan whilst I take this shot" Sometimes it feels like I wasn't even on the walk because I was viewing it through a camera lens.
I know I will never regret not doing the washing but I would regret not really talking with my partner or not listening properly to my sons day at school.
Super BIG tree shots and family time... Good for you. Hope everyone is feeling well again. :-)

  5. This is where I want to be. This is where I always plan to be until the dishes pile up and the floor needs cleaning and the emails need checking and the groceries need buying.
Starting tomorrow I will be mindful with my son even if it's only for a half an hour. Thanks for the reminder.

  6. I love those family photos!
And how true - we must focus on what is important and let the other things wait!
I think my favorite photo is your little one with that huge tree stump.
    Blessings!

  7. Love the pictures. Kids in sand pictures always turn out to be awesome memory nuggets in time.
